Relief from Work-Related Injuries

Every year, millions of dollars go into providing healthcare for people injured on the job.  What may be a surprise, however, is that the injuries usually aren’t from some kind of terrible accident, but are a result of simply sitting at a desk or picking up boxes. These relatively minor movements can easily cause strain on the body.  The repetitive use of specific muscles or joints or even body inaction puts employees at risk of spinal injury.  In most cases, these injuries can be remedied with the help of chiropractic care.

Relief from Auto Injury & Whiplash

For those who have been in an auto accident, the after-effects can be traumatizing.  Not only is the pain very real, but often anxiety also plays a role in the patient’s discomfort.  One of the most common reasons that necessitate a trip to the chiropractor is whiplash.  If untreated, whiplash can become chronic pain. An auto injury can be very serious and depending on the severity of the accident, rehabilitation after surgery may be required. At Active Health KC Chiropractic & Rehab in the Kansas City area, our doctors work closely with each individual patient to learn about their pain in order to treat it with the best, most effective care possible.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapy using an acupuncture-like needle to treat trigger points in muscles, scar tissue restrictions, tight or improperly functioning muscles. The term “Dry” Needling is used because the therapy does not inject any fluid into the body as with a flu shot or vaccination. The beneficial effect is a result of the stimulation caused by the needle in the tissue.
